The Calling of God is Full Risk

The calling of God seems to take me beyond the comfort zone. Each time I answer the next call I put my life and security at risk. Today it seems I am living at full risk. Placed totally at the hands of a mysterious God whose heart seems to beat within my chest.

God beckons you right out of your comfort zone…Knowledge of the future is great because it brings a sort of security, but God seems to move in these impulsive moments when He comes at the most unreasonable time and beckons you to take the next step right out of your security to the outer edges where the impossible becomes possible. It is a faith life where God has to come through or else, and a place where He calls you in the first place.

Without faith it is impossible to please God…He is only pleased with the life of faith. The lesson is this that we are called to live beyond the status quo, a place of complete restful trust in Him the author and the finisher of our faith. He starts it and He completes our walk of faith and all we do is trust Him. I catch myself saying I have to trust Him for everything, well isn’t that the reason I gave my life to Him in the first place?

Called to the Outer Limits …A supernatural God is calling us out into the outer limits of faith. The outer limits our flesh wants to cringe if it is not dead to Christ. Paul’s mode of operation was to “die daily”. It seems He sets the impossible right before you and calls you to step into it and watch it become possible.

Anointing increases when you step into the callings of God…Many think they are living in the anointing because they have received some sort of impartation at a conference, but the anointing is released as you step into the callings of God. The callings of God bring affliction and the affliction releases glory.

Many are called, but few choose to repond…Many are called, but few choose to walk in the outer fringes of faith and power. Many called, but few chosen, means that God calls everyone and gives them the power to respond—but to be chosen, we must respond to the call, using the power God gave us for that purpose. Have you responded to the callings of God.

Are you responding to the callings of God or are you playing life safe?
